There are several factors that can lead to PVD such as smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, a family history of heart disease and being over weight. PVD is a condition in which the arteries that carry blood to the arms and legs become narrowed or clogged, slowing or stopping blood flow. There are various ways to prevent and manage PVD including life style changes, diet and surgery.
